🌟 Intro

Heyyy friend! So… I’ve gone back and forth about adding this because, well…

  1. I’m extremely camera-shy, and

  2. I’m an introvert who panics at the thought of my face just floating on the internet for everyone to see. 😅

But transparency matters to me — and I truly believe energy shows up even through photos.
So if seeing who I am helps you feel out the vibe here at Our Crystal Corner, then hey… I’m here for it.

My name is Leilani, and I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaiʻi. Life brought me to the East Coast in 2019 with my husband and our dog Dozer (who crossed the rainbow bridge in 2024 and is forever in our hearts).

Not long after, we adopted another pup. We named him Boogie… then Booger… and now he just responds to Boogs, which feels like a natural evolution at this point. 🤣

💙 A Little About My Journey

I’m not gonna sit here and pretend I’ve been into crystals since I popped out of the womb. I grew up in a very traditional home where “crystals” wasn’t even a vocabulary word, let alone a hobby. My first crystal showed up in 2015 — a cute little Amethyst cluster.

It was gorgeous… but did I feel anything?
Absolutely not.
Not a tingle. Not a spark. Not even a polite hello.

So it sat on my desk collecting dust, silently judging me while I ignored its entire existence. I had no idea what was “under the surface” (literally and figuratively).

Fast forward to 2020 when my sister reintroduced me to crystals and suddenly…
I went ALL IN.
Like, “this is my personality now” levels of all in.
Buying them. Studying them. Googling at 2 a.m. like a gremlin. Learning how to cleanse them, charge them, care for them — the whole nine yards. And the rest was history.

But here’s the kicker — the plot twist — the part nobody expects when they walk into a crystal shop:
I do not feel energy from every crystal.
Honestly? Not even most of them.

The pieces I connect with are either:

  • ones I feel an instant pull toward

  • or ones I just think look pretty (because sometimes that’s enough!)

And I’m totally okay with that.

People tell me wild stories — life-changing experiences with their crystals — and I love hearing them. But my own story is much simpler: sometimes I feel something, sometimes I don’t… and sometimes I just really like the vibes or the sparkle.

So whether you’re here for the metaphysical side, the aesthetic beauty, the “ooo shiny,” or a little bit of everything — trust me, I get it.
That’s exactly how I relate to crystals, too. 🩵

🔹 Why I started my shop

I found myself diving deeper into the crystal world, and the more I learned, the more I wanted to be surrounded by them. But at the time, there weren’t any shops that taught me anything. They all felt like dollar-sign shops, and no one treated me like more than a customer. That gave me my aha moment.

I talked it over with my husband and sister, and they agreed — if I’m buying crystals anyway, I might as well buy extra and share the magic. I didn’t want to just sell crystals; I wanted to create a welcoming environment where everyone is valued and respected, and where I can offer honest, thoughtful service.

In the beginning, I wasn’t hand-selecting pieces because I didn’t know how that worked online. But after going to Tucson, the light basically beamed down like, “Hey! You can hand-pick stuff!” Total game-changer. Even when I shop online now, I’ve learned to request what I actually want instead of settling.

As the shop grew, I became more selective — but not in a “perfect pieces only” way. I still source crystals that not everyone may vibe with: some imperfect, some unusual in color, some wonderfully quirky. I do that because I want to reach as many budgets, preferences, and vibes as possible.

You might look at something and think, “Who would buy that?” But someone will — and it might be their perfect piece. Crystals are subjective, and that’s the beauty of it.

I’m here to share, to connect, and to help every crystal find its home.
